Walk around our Boarding School Panchgani campus during regular school hours. You won’t see students sleepwalking through corridors or teachers shouting themselves hoarse. When our founders established Sweet Memories High School decades ago, they considered several locations across Maharashtra. Pune seemed logical—big city, good connectivity. Mumbai had obvious advantages. They chose Panchgani instead, and now I understand why.
This hill station doesn’t have multiplexes distracting students every weekend. No shopping malls where teenagers blow their pocket money on pointless purchases. What it does have: clean air, consistent weather, and an environment where studying doesn’t feel like torture because you’re not battling 40-degree heat or monsoon dampness half the year.
Being recognised as a Top School in Maharashtra means competing with institutions that have bigger budgets, fancier infrastructure, and more aggressive marketing. We hold our own because we focus on something quite simple: actually educating students rather than just processing them through a system.
What Happens After Classes End
Day schools finish at 3 PM, and students go home, maybe do homework, and probably spend hours on their phones. We’ve got students from 6 AM until they sleep. That sounds exhausting written out, but it’s not—it’s comprehensive.
